Update January 26, 2015: The Alabama prisoners’ case was remanded to the Eleventh Circuit for further consideration in light of the Court’s decision in Holt v. Hobbs, holding that Arkansas’s prison policy preventing a Muslim prisoner from growing a half-inch beard in accordance with his religious beliefs violates the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act.
