Wilkey v. Klaver
Petition for certiorari denied on March 6, 2023
Issue: (1) Whether the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit defined a clearly established right for purposes of qualified immunity at too high a level of generality when it determined that officers "may not detain a driver for longer than necessary to complete a traffic stop simply because they want to investigate other crimes;" and (2) whether the 6th Circuit erred in holding that petitioners are not entitled to qualified immunity by not citing a case with comparable facts.
