Rimlawi v. United States
Petition for certiorari denied on February 24, 2025
Issue: (1) Whether the court of appeals erred in applying the guilt-based approach, rather than the error-based approach, to assess the harmlessness of the confrontation clause error; and (2) whether, under Apprendi v. New Jersey, the facts underlying a restitution award must be proved to, and found by, a jury beyond a reasonable doubt (and, in federal cases, charged in a grand jury indictment).
