U.S. ex rel. Sheldon v. Allergan Sales, LLC
Petition for certiorari granted, judgment vacated, and case remanded to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit for further consideration in light of United States ex rel. Schutte v. SuperValu, Inc. on June 30, 2023.
Issue: Whether and when a defendant"s contemporaneous subjective understanding or beliefs about the lawfulness of its conduct are relevant to whether it "knowingly" violated the False Claims Act.
