Court filings on Friday brought a new challenge to the Obama Administration on its claim of power to detain individuals indefinitely as terrorism suspects, and a new plea to hold the Pentagon Secretary in contempt for taking no action to free a group of detainees at Guantanamo Bay. These developments are discussed in the two posts just below.
