UPDATE: The Chief Justice has denied the following application:
Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr., is considering an application for a stay of deportation in a case from the Fourth Circuit Court, 06A589, Estrada v. Myers. Ennio Manolo De Leon Estrada is challenging the reinstatement of an 11-year-old deportation order; he contends that the government has a practice of deporting individuals even while their challenges are pending. He has a challenge before the Fourth Circuit. The application asserts that he is considered the male head of household in which his mother, brother and sister are U.S. citizens.
