Here is Law Dork on the Dallas City Council race candidate questionnaire on which Harriet Miers responded yes to a question that asked if she “believe[d] that gay men and lesbians should have the same civil rights as non-gay men and women.” Later on the questionnaire she responded, “No” when asked if she, “as an individual citizen, support[ed] repeal of Section 21.06 of the Texas Penal Code which criminalizes the private sexual behavior of consenting adult lesbians and gay men.”

Today the Court is hearing oral arguments in the Oregon assisted suicide case.
