Roe v. Wade Redux

One of the cases that the Court will consider at its conference on Friday is No. 04-967, McCorvey v. Hill. Norma McCorvey — who is better known in legal history as the petitioner in Roe v. Wade — seeks Supreme Court review of the Fifth Circuit’s decision affirming the denial of her Rule 60(b) motion for relief from judgment, in which she had asked the district court to revisit the Supreme Court’s 1973 decision in Roe. The respondent, Dallas County District Attorney William Hill, waived his right to respond to the petition.
