The firm is pleased to congratulate our associate, Sonja, on formally accepting an offer to clerk in The Hague, Netherlands, for a judge on the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Tribunals for the Former Yugoslavia and Rwanda. It is a great loss for us, but a wonderful opportunity for Sonja, who has always had a terrific interest in international human rights.
We are also pleased to announce that we’ve hired Sonja’s replacement. Kevin Russell will be joining us. Kevin is an attorney with the Appellate Section of the Civil Rights Division in the Department of Justice. Previously, he was an attorney in the Special Litigation Section of that Division. Before that, we was a law clerk to Justice Breyer (OT ’95) and Judge Norris (’94-’95), and a graduate of Yale Law School. We’re exceptionally excited that Kevin will be joining us.
We are extremely grateful for the many applications we received from lawyers with awesome credentials, many of whom we know by reputation to be not only brilliant but also terrific people.
