Following five new opinions handed down Thursday by the Court, we have updated our sister site, SCOTUSwiki, to include links to the Court’s rulings, as well as coverage originally posted on this blog. The case pages for City of Ontario v. Quon, Dillon v. United States, Stop the Beach Renourishment, Inc. v. Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Schwab v. Reilly, and New Process Steel v. National Labor Relations Board now include links to the opinions in those cases. In addition, the case page for New Process Steel now includes reporting and analysis by Howe & Russell’s Kevin Russell and Akin Gump’s Kimberly Harding, while the page for Quon has been updated to include commentary written by SCOTUSblog’s Lyle Denniston. A recap has been added to the case page for Stop the Beach Renourishment, Inc., and we have also added a recap by Akin Gump’s Patrick Scanlon to the case page for Dillon and a recap by recent Stanford Law School graduate Anthony Dick to the case page for Schwab.
Wiki coverage of last Monday’s opinions was addressed in a post published early last week, and since then, we have updated the wiki to include additional coverage of those decisions. The case page for Holland v. Florida now includes an opinion recap by Maka Hutson of Akin Gump, and the case page for Dolan v. United States now includes coverage by SCOTUSblog contributor Matthew Scarola. In addition, the case page for Carachuri-Rosendo v. Holder, also decided last Monday, now includes a recap of the Court’s opinion.
Meanwhile, we have updated our archive of “Petitions to Watch†posts on SCOTUSwiki to include the most recent edition of Petitions to Watch, which was posted on Thursday. We have also added a new StatPack (published Wednesday) to our list of past StatPacks on the wiki. Further, we have updated several case pages for OT10 cases to include merits briefs filed in the past week: the case page for Michigan v. Bryant now links to the respondent’s brief, while links to newly filed amicus briefs have been added to the case pages for Snyder v. Phelps and Connick v. Thompson.
As we do every week, we have continued to update our archive of media coverage of the Kagan nomination, as well as individual case pages, to reflect ongoing media and blogosphere reporting and commentary on developments concerning the Court.
