Elena Kagan and recusals

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs has just announced that Elena Kagan would continue working on matters in which she was previously involved but would not take on new matters.  He cited commentators who had looked at the question and expected roughly a dozen recusals next Term.  For my discussion of the issue, see the end of this long post.
