Petitions to watch: Conference of February 24, 2012
on Feb 14, 2012 at 9:48 am
At its February 24, 2012 Conference, the Court will consider such issues as appropriate relief in the effort to stop an Asian carp invasion, First Amendment protection for “official” speech in sworn statements, and compensation for time spent donning and doffing safety and sanitary gear. This edition of “Petitions to watch” features petitions raising issues that Tom has determined to have a reasonable chance of being granted, although we post them here without consideration of whether they present appropriate vehicles in which to decide those issues. The full list of our “Petitions to watch” for the February 24 and February 17 Conferences can be found here. Any cases that are relisted following the February 17 Conference will be added to this list once that information is available.
