Event announcements

On September 28, the Howard University School of Law, NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, and sections from the D.C. Bar will host a panel discussion on the upcoming Supreme Court Term, especially with regard to civil rights issues.  Speakers will include Lisa Bornstein of the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, Brad Garcia of O’Melveny & Myers LLP, John Paul Schnapper-Casteras of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, and Lisa Crooms-Robinson and Valerie Schneider of Howard University School of Law.  More details about the event, which will be held at the law school, are available on the D.C. Also on September 28, the American Constitution Society will host its own discussion on the upcoming Term.  Speakers will include Deborah Archer of New York Law School, David Cole of Georgetown Law, Ann Hodges of the University of Richmond, Alan Morrison of The George Washington University, and Kannon Shanmugam of Williams & Connolly, and will be moderated by this blog’s Amy Howe.  More information about the event, which will be held at the National Press Club, are available on the ACS website.
