Upcoming Panel and CLE/Web Cast

Two programs of note this week:

*On Weds., June 3  from 12:30 – 2 p.m., the Georgetown Law Supreme Court Institute will host a panel discussion on President Obama’s Nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court and the Confirmation Process, including Patricia Millett.  Details are available here.

*On Thurs., June 4 from 12:30 – 2 p.m., West LegalWorks will host a CLE Web cast on “Business Method Patents since the Bilski Decision,” which will include Tom Goldstein. Topics will include:

• A historical look at business method patents, from start to present – State Street to Bilski
• An expert analysis of how the Supreme Court may handle the Bilski case
• The Patent Trade Office’s reaction to the Bilski decision
• The impact the Bilski decision has had on existing business method patents, with a key focus on the financial services industry
