On Monday, the Court will release orders from the Justices’ private conference last Thursday. One or more opinions in pending cases may also be released.
The petitioner’s brief on the merits is due Monday in United States v. Stevens (08-769) and due Wednesday in Jones, et al., v. Harris Associates (08-586). No respondent’s brief on the merits is due this week.

On Monday at 4 p.m., the Second Circuit Court’s stay order in In re: Chrysler, LLC, et al.will be lifted, unless the Supreme Court takes action before then. For more on the legal challenge to the sale of Chrysler’s assets, see the blog’s coverage here. The challengers are expected to file their petitions early in the week.
