In conjunction with the release of his memoirs, My Grandfather’s Son, Justice Clarence Thomas granted ABC News correspondent Jan Crawford Greenburg a series of interviews that covered a broad array of topics. In the weeks following their conversations, Greenburg has written a string of posts for her blog, Legalities, using material not included in the televised interviews. Here’s the whole collection, thus far, of her posts on the Justice. The first related entry, Justice Thomas Speaks Out, was posted September 28th before the interviews began airing. A Silent Justice Speaks Out and Clarence Thomas Unplugged both link to her lengthy on camera interview segments. Even though he did not cover the years following his confirmation hearings in his memoirs, Justice Thomas did speak with Greenburg about then. Read about the discussion in her post Being a Justice. Here the Justice discusses his views on precedent with the ABC reporter. In Thomas and Oral Argument, Crawford posts her conversation with Justice Thomas about his well-known silence on the bench.
