Remaining Decision Days

The Court will issue one or more opinion(s) in argued cases this morning, and then recess for a couple of weeks. The remaining scheduled decision days include May 15th, 22d, and 30th, and June 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th. The Court might add additional decision days during the last two weeks in June, and could also issue decisions before the oral argument in Hudson v. Michigan, on Thursday, May 18th.

Only two opinions remain from the pre-Alito Court: No. 04-1131, Whitman v. DOT (argued December 5th), which might have been assigned to Justice Thomas, and No. 04-8990, House v. Bell (argued January 11th), which likely was assigned either to Justice Kennedy or to Justice Breyer.

Thirty-five of the 37 possible opinions from the new (post-January) Court remain to be issued. [UPDATE: AFter today’s decisions, make that 32 of 37.]
