Updated Case List

Here is the updated list of cases granted by the Court for this Term. We’ll publish a more detailed list with links and questions presented soon.
As the document reflects, the Court has filled its argument calendar through the February sitting. If past practice is prologue, between now and the end of January, the Justices will take 24 more cases to fill March and April.
It is possible that the Court will take still more cases than that and have them argued this Term. During his confirmation hearings, Chief Justice Roberts inidicated his interest in expanding the merits docket. But he has only a single vote and my bet is that, to the extent he adheres to that view, it will be more of a long-term project.
