Event announcement: SCOTUSblog oral argument seminars (Updated)

The Supreme Court’s decision to hold oral arguments in May 2020 remotely via telephone conference and to make live audio available to the public marks an unprecedented increase in public access to the court. It also offers SCOTUSblog a unique opportunity to educate students about the court and its cases.
With teachers around the country conducting classes remotely, SCOTUSblog is launching a series of virtual seminars on some of the most interesting May oral arguments. For each case, an experienced Supreme Court advocate and an educator with expertise in the topic area will co-host two 30-minute video sessions, one before and one after the argument, targeted toward classes at a certain level. The seminars will cover the basic workings of the court, preview or debrief the argument and discuss how the case relates to the students’ coursework. In between, live audio of the argument will be easily accessible via our website.
Below is a full list of the seminars with links to tune in. Each seminar will also be live-streamed on our website in case the size limit is reached, though viewers of the live-stream will not be able to ask questions.
