Amici filings in “material support” cases

Four top-side amici briefs and one bottom-side amicus brief are now available in the consolidated cases on the constitutionality of various provisions of the federal law criminalizing “material support” for terrorist organizations.  The briefs supporting Humanitarian Law Project in 09-89 are here, here, here and here.  The brief supporting the government in 08-1498 is here.  The Center for Constitutional Rights has this press release discussing the new filings.

Scotusblog and ScotusWiki will analyze all briefs in the cases in posts closer to the oral argument, not yet scheduled.
